Terahertz Research Laboratory and Hakan Altan's Research Group

The Terahertz Research Laboratory, established by Prof. Dr. Hakan Altan, is located in the Physics Department at Middle East Technical University. Prof. Altan and his students focus on developing terahertz technologies for industrial and medical applications. Recently, they have expanded their efforts to develop novel devices using microfabrication techniques specific to MEMS technologies. Additionally, they explore various emerging areas in the field of photonics, ranging from fiber-based to free-space optical applications. Their goal is to create innovative techniques and solutions that utilize different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Through ongoing collaborations with national and international experts, Prof. Altan and his team aim to contribute significantly to these fields while educating and training a new generation of optical engineers and scientists. They are always eager to work with enthusiastic individuals and encourage those interested to contact Prof. Dr. Hakan Altan.
